Jammed packed July!

The highlight for me this month was spending the morning at One and a half acre wood animal farm. Feeding the sheep and goat and patting the horse, guinea pig and my favourite of the day the big kunikuni pig who liked having a scratch on his bum and tummy! I went to watch the drama performance and cheered for my friends and I was happy to start the new term off back on the stage. I look forward to acting for a performance soon! I’ve been to Greerton library, Arohanui Greerton centre to sing and socialise with friends, Quirks cafe, Historic village and Growers Direct to collect excess cauliflower and lettuce seedlings. We planted them in the Wilrose garden. I did a little experiment cutting tomato slices to get some more tomato plants growing ready for spring. Fingers crossed they are successful and I can take a plant home! Adventurous June

  Hi friends! This month, I went to explore the I'Anson's Reserve loop walk in Te Puna. I looked at different native trees, bugs, insects, and birds, and had a lovely picnic lunch. I’ve also been helping with garden and worm farm maintenance. We even had a visit from some Cavoodle dogs called Hazel and Benji! I can't wait for them to come back again,I might even take them for a hīkoi sometime. It was great getting into the kitchen to cook a healthy stir-fry using the bok choy we harvested from the Wilrose garden and the oyster mushrooms we grew from our mushroom block. I also made a tasty bacon and egg pie, which was a nice treat! I’ve really enjoyed playing mixed games with friends at the Greerton Library's "Just Wanna Have Fun" morning. It was so much fun picking from the question tin to learn more about my friends. I also went to see the Michael Jackson movie at Event Cinemas and had some popcorn. Out and about in May

This past month has been an absolute whirlwind, with so many amazing projects and activities! On the fitness front, I’ve been keeping consistent by crushing my Blaze gym workouts and regularly heading over to Greerton Hall for the Bay Active inclusive fitness sessions. All that movement kept my energy up for my creative projects. After purchasing a haul of new art and craft supplies, I started creating a butterfly mosaic, designing the wing pattern with colorful stones and have enjoyed some relaxation, unwinding by watching ' Pan' and ' The Greatest Showman' . Giving back to the community was a massive highlight for me this month. I dedicated some time to volunteering at the SPCA op shop and also worked with Coastcare to help plant 200 spinifex grasses in the sand dunes. I spent an afternoon bagging up kowhai seeds, watched a few online tutorials to successfully set up two oyster mushroom blocks to grow and I also went to fly a kite at Anzac Park. Sports morning

My new nickname is Jonah Lomu! I enjoyed playing some tag rugby at Greerton marital and scored a few toys for my team. It was  very good workout!

Pamper morning

I enjoyed getting a nice hand massage with some nice smelling moisturiser and then had my nails painted. I felt so relaxed.

Project Papatuanuku

  I got in the Wilrose garden this week to help plant some new seasonal vegies we've grown from seed. Beetroot, brocolli, cauliflower, and a variety of lettuce! The garden is looking great!

Johnsons reserve waterfall

I went for a guided walk with Angus from the Tauranga city council through Johnson reserve to check out a waterfall. It was a new area i had never been before and worth the walk.
