Out and about in May

Image
This past month has been an absolute whirlwind, with so many amazing projects and activities! On the fitness front, I’ve been keeping consistent by crushing my Blaze gym workouts and regularly heading over to Greerton Hall for the Bay Active inclusive fitness sessions. All that movement kept my energy up for my creative projects. After purchasing a haul of new art and craft supplies, I started creating a butterfly mosaic, designing the wing pattern with colorful stones and have enjoyed some relaxation, unwinding by watching ' Pan' and ' The Greatest Showman' . Giving back to the community was a massive highlight for me this month. I dedicated some time to volunteering at the SPCA op shop and also worked with Coastcare to help plant 200 spinifex grasses in the sand dunes. I spent an afternoon bagging up kowhai seeds, watched a few online tutorials to successfully set up two oyster mushroom blocks to grow and I also went to fly a kite at Anzac Park. To top it all off,...

I went for a guided walk with Angus from the Tauranga city council through Johnson reserve to check out a waterfall. It was a new area i had never been before and worth the walk.

In art craft and design I helped to cut out and paint this yellow submarine which is going to be used in the iSing performance. It turned out awesome.

I enjoyed exploring the Blue Springs in Patararu. It was a lovely walk in nature and i learnt that  this is where 70% of our bottled water comes from! Check out that crystal clear water.
